EXTERNAL FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
For RVH researchers who are interested in searching for external funding opportunities, the University of Toronto’s Office of Research & Innovation provides registered faculty, staff and students with a search engine to help locate research funding opportunities. The search engine is easy to use and customizable allowing you to save your most favourite and commonly used search engine filters and rerun them at regular intervals so that you won’t miss any new funding opportunities that may come up at different times of the year.

If you don’t have an account with the University of Toronto, you can search the Government of Canada’s Research Funding and Awards site to access funding opportunities from CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC. In addition to these tri-party funding agencies, there are also many other funding opportunities listed.
For those of you who use Mendeley‘s citation manager, your free account gives you access to their search engine for funding opportunities.
If you’re interested in viewing which researchers, projects and institutions receive funds from any one of Canada’s major public funding agencies, you can conduct a search using the Canadian Research Information System search engine.
