Research Travel Award
The RVH Research Institute is committed to supporting RVH employees, students/residents/fellows, and professional staff who wish to attend domestic or international academic conferences to present original research findings in their chosen fields. A small, dedicated fund designed to provide partial financial support to help defray the costs of conference registration, travel, accommodation, and meals is available.
Funds are administered in the form of a travel award, with researchers being reimbursed upon receipt (to a maximum of $1,500 CAD) and approval of all required documentation. Dispersal of funds are subject to the RVH Research Travel Award’s Terms and Conditions.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted within sixty (60) days of attending the conference. Requests for pre-approval must be submitted at least thirty (30) days prior to attending the conference. Submissions must be accompanied by evidence of abstract acceptance, a detailed summary of itemized expenditures, and all original receipts.
Publication Award
The RVH Research Institute is committed to supporting RVH employees, students/residents/fellows, and professional staff who wish to publish their research findings. A small, dedicated fund designed to provide financial support to cover the cost of publishing RVH-led research in peer-reviewed, scientific open access or hybrid journals.
Funds are administered in the form of an award, with article processing charges either paid directly to the publisher or reimbursed to the author upon receipt and approval of all required documentation.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted within sixty (60) days of the publisher’s invoice. Reimbursement will be provided in the form of a cheque for an amount approved by the RVH Research Office. Dispersal of funds are subject to the RVH Publication Award’s Terms and Conditions.
