An evening with concussion experts draws Simcoe County residents

Barrie - Nearly 350 Simcoe County residents joined concussion experts from across Canada for an exciting and informative RVH Community Lecture Series, "Concussions: An Evening with Experts", on November 26, 2019 in the Georgian Theatre at Georgian College
Hosted by Dr. Chris Martin, RVH physician and Director of Medical Education, expert panel members included Dr. Shannon Bauman, Medical Director at Concussion North, Eric Lindros, former NHL player and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Gordon Stringer, Rowan's Law and Concussion Advocate, Paul Hunter, Director of Development at Rugby Canada, and Stephanie Cowle, Manager of Knowledge Translation at Parachute Canada.
Throughout the evening, the panel provided updates and opinions on concussion medical care, player advocacy, Rowan's law, and concussion policy. Many residents had the opportunity to interact with the panel, sharing their own experiences with concussion.
